Hopefully our boy uses his murrancy to get some defensemen. |

I don't know why MURRAY is getting a free pass here. He's the guy who traded away the farm leaving the club with an AHL caliber defense and a thin group of forwards. Bylsma has a Stanley Cup to his name. HONestly, what has MURRAY ever accomplished?
I agree. The should look to LA. Bring in Dean Lombardi to run the show. At least he's won something. |

"Murray said he will be evaluated by Terry and Kim Pegula next week. Bylsma will be evaluated as well."
-Garth
“There’s a review top to bottom. I have to meet with ownership next week in Florida. I’m sure I’ll be reviewed, I’m sure I’m being reviewed right now, as I should be.”
-GMTM
Murray isn't getting a free pass I don't think Bernard. Sounds as though Terry is looking at QBs for the Bills right now and will meet with GMTM shortly. The quote is right from the blog so not sure if that was just missed. |

Well, you could have won the cup with that team, that year. Bylsma also received coach of the year when Crosby and Malkin each missed half the year, But his problems in Buffalo were the same problems in Pittsburgh, his system is too rigid and he relies too much on stifling defense. I don't agree that Murray has traded away too many prospects and drained the system, sure he traded away more assets then he got back, but he believed those were the right players for right now, our best prospects are still in Juniors and they will be in the pros soon. Until then we will have to hope that guys like Carrier, Bailey, Baptiste, Nelson, Austin, Guhle, Rodrigues continue to progress and start to make a difference in Buffalo. |

I am not referring to Murray I am referring to Garth's blog. Garth blames Bylsma's "rigid defensive systems and approach to dealing with players". Murray remains the man with the plan. Good luck to ya |

The first quote was from Garth's blog though...
There were a lot of excuses thrown around in that presser, but Murray getting a free pass wasn't really part of it or the blog, so was just confused. Wanted to get clarification I suppose. |

The Penguins never played stifling defense when Dan was here. Quite the opposite. They turned Fleury into a basket case with how loose they played. Dan has lots of faults however. Very stubborn and refuses to make adjustments. Whether it be mid-game or mid-playoff series. He got out-coached repeatedly in the playoffs. Ron Burkle and Mario basically said they wish they had fired him sooner. Nice person, but sh*tty coach. |

I agree with what you've said. I think people are too wrapped up in the here & now and are antsy and want an immediate all star fix.

Anyone else love watching real legitimately GOOD teams playing playoff hockey right now?? |

Always appreciate when you change the title without writing a new blog. Even lower effort than the stupid blogs themselves. |

If it wasn't for Toronto's rebuild, I would assume Murray would still be sitting pretty. It's amazing how much can change in 2 years, when that picture came out of murray and bylsma going out to dinner, you would have thought it was scotty bowman there instead. "ALWAYS GETS HIS GUY!" |

This is a good approach for the sabres. Have a bunch of meetings, waste a couple of weeks. Meanwhile other teams looking for coaches have the choice of the best available, the sabres will be free to choose between the leftovers.
Maybe they should just get straight to the point and ask Jack who he wants, or at least give him a veto vote. You don't want him being upset. |

Sabres had the #1 PP this year -
But 25th in Penalty Kill -
The Difference between the Playoffs and not really -
Bring back Lindy already.
Should have never been fire in first place, Vanek was dealing with gambling behind the scenes, Miller was washed up, Roy was garbage, Pommers is a 2nd line complimentary player.....etc. etc. |

Watch Eichel just bounce and go elsewhere when he can, can you imagine what that would do to this team? |
